SOSTENICA, Inc. (The Sustainable Development Fund of Nicaragua), was incorporated in Pennsylvania and approved as a federal tax-exempt, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2001.
SOSTENICA’s partner organization, CEPRODEL (The Centro de Promoción del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), was founded as a non-profit corporation in Nicaragua in 1989.
Together, SOSTENICA and CEPRODEL promote sustainable community and economic development for low-income families, small businesses, and small farmers in Nicaragua.
