Housing in Nicaragua!

We are excited to announce a campaign to raise $260,000 in new investment to finance an eco-friendly Housing Cooperative in Juigalpa, Nicaragua. The thirty families have already begun building a community hall to hold events and cooperative meetings, but need an investment to begin building houses. SosteNica’s goal is to raise $260,000 in new investment and $100,000 in donations to help offset the cost of the eco-friendly houses and offer affordable mortgages to these hard working Nicaraguan families! The houses will be built cooperatively by the member families with the support of four US, Mexican, and Nicaraguan organizations. The cooperative will include earth blocks, composting toilets, grey water treatment systems, and solar power.
